This retrospective study by Dr. Mike Ragan assessed the impact of DentalMonitoring (DM) on the efficiency of interceptive orthodontic treatments using Motion and Rapid Maxillary Expander (RME) appliances. For Motion appliance cases, DM reduced treatment duration by 25.2% (from 229 to 170 days) and decreased in-office check visits from 2.93 to 0.6 per patient, resulting in an average net chair time cost saving of $252.33 per treatment. For RME cases, treatment time was shortened by 27.4% (from 167 to 122 days), with check visits reduced from 2.47 to 0.36, and a cost saving of $205.26 per patient. The study concluded that AI-powered remote monitoring significantly improves efficiency by reducing unnecessary visits and overall treatment time while maintaining quality care.
